The fabricators at AFM are experienced and equipped to create specialized MLI blankets and plume shields for use around engine nozzles or other extreme high temperature sources. Through specialized materials, like polyimide films, Nomex® threads, graphite cloth, ceramic textiles, silicon carbide textiles, and silica fiber felt, to name a few, we are able to create Plume Shields that can withstand high to ultra high temperature ranges from 300C to 1,000C and above.
