AstraWrap™ HT is a prefabricated layup that is ideal for higher temperature applications up to 500°F found in many space environments. It combines multiple layers of ultrathin 0.3 mil (8 µm) polyimide film separated by lightweight, low-conducting Dacron netting. As with AstraWrap™, the film is coated with aluminum on both sides for high thermal performance. The netting is made of a lightweight scrim to minimize weight and layer-to-layer conductivity. Standard configurations come in a length of 10 feet and custom widths of up to 48 inches. Our standard layups come with 10, 15, and 20 reflector layers, but they can also be customized to fit your needs.
